An Old World

Imagine a world where video games didn’t need updates or patches, didn’t need an internet connection and came to you in finished (and sometimes flawed, but accepted) physical form. Imagine if video game systems didn’t need to be logged into with your information, first. Imagine if video games were optimised to work as efficiently as possible. Imagine inserting your physical game, powering on and being able to play within 10 seconds. This world actually existed. In fact, it still does to this day.

The world of cartridge video gaming is so vast (about 14,000 games released on cartridge from 1976 to 2001) and riddled with so many amazing titles that you’ve probably never experienced and can still acquire at local shops.
